OLIVIERS & CO PRODUCER
Aikaterini Retzetra
Surrounded by olive trees since her childhood, Aikaterini Retzetra considers olive oil a real family tradition. Her land belonged to her grandfather and then to her father. Her daily work consists of taking care of the orchards at every stage, from flowering to harvesting, especially in October-November.
The orchards are located in different parts of Lakonia. Some are rocky and more difficult to cultivate while others are close to the sea breeze. The orchards are over 100 years old and the orchard area is about 30 acres. They have very old trees of the native variety and over the years additional trees of the Koroneiki variety have been planted which are about 30 years old now. In total, the orchards have about 300 trees.
