MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKES WITH MANDARIN SPECIALTY OLIVE OIL

Ingredients :

For 4 peoples

  • 150 g (about 5.30 oz) O&CO L’Extrême, plus 4 teaspoons for garnish
  • 50 g (about 1.76 oz) flour
  •  2 egg yolks
  •  5 teaspoons mandarin specialty olive oil.

Description :

Preheat the oven to 170 C (350 F). Place the Extrême in a microwave for few seconds until just warm and soft. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and egg yolks. Add the chocolate spread and mix until well blended. Divide 1 teaspoon of mandarin olive oil among 4 individual molds or ramekins 7 cm (about 2.75 inches) wide and 5 cm (about 2 inches) high. Coat the side and bottom of the molds with the oil. Divide the chocolate mixture among the 4 prepared molds and bake for 10 minutes. Carefully unmold the cakes while still hot and arrange them on individual dessert plates. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of mandarin oil on each cake and top with a teaspoon of Extrême. Let the chocolate melt for few minutes and serve lukewarm as is with a cup of coffee or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
