OLIVIERS & CO PRODUCER
Famiglia di Minisci
The origins of the Dolce di Rossano cultivar are lost in the mists of time. Closely linked to Calabria and the town of Rossano, this variety is believed to have been cultivated since ancient times, dating back to the Greek era. For the Di Minisci family, the olive tree is much more than just a crop: it embodies an identity, a way of life and a deep respect for the land, passed down from generation to generation. The family adventure began in the aftermath of the war, when the oil produced was primarily a means of subsistence.
Since 1946, passion and rigour have been passed down from father to son in the family mill, and the fourth generation is already committed to continuing this expertise. La Molazza, which means ‘stone mill’, is the expression of this history and concentrates the soul of Calabria in every drop of oil. Over the decades, the family has perfected every stage of the extra virgin olive oil production process, combining traditional methods with modern technology. The olives are harvested as soon as they begin to change colour, revealing an oil that is light, balanced and aromatic.
