From aperitif to dinner, ready in 5 minutes, for a light and delicious Italian experience

Originating from ancient Rome, the pinsa is a lighter and more digestible version of pizza. Its unique dough, made from a blend of wheat and rice flours and undergoing a long fermentation process, is hand-shaped to create a texture that's both crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

It embodies both Italian authenticity and a modern, upscale version of pizza, adopted by all those who love good products and convivial moments.

Ultra-fast, infinitely customizable, and versatile: Ready in just 5 minutes, it lends itself to both classic toppings and original creations. Ideal as an appetizer to share, as a meal, or for an Italian-style brunch.

✔ Instructions

Top the pinsa with your choice of ingredients (just like a pizza or focaccia).

Finish baking in a preheated fan oven: 5–6 minutes at 220–250 °C.

Add the final fresh toppings (fresh rocket, creamy burrata, thin slices of cured ham, etc.). Enjoy whilst hot and crispy.

Pinsa, Italy’s other star

The original cousin of Roman pizza, pinsa is the very symbol of the authentic Italian aperitivo. Its traditional recipe relies on a long proving time for the dough, which gives it its distinctive lightness and crispiness. Lower in calories and lighter in texture, it is traditionally enjoyed fresh from the oven, simply topped with fresh seasonal ingredients and, of course, a generous drizzle of olive oil to bring out all its flavours.

The secret of the ‘Scrocchiarella’: A texture unique in the world

In Italy, there is a very specific word used to describe pinsa: scrocchiarella, that satisfying little crunch at the first bite. The art of pinsa lies in this magical contrast: a light, airy crust that crunches between the teeth, and an incredibly honeycombed centre that is tender and soft. It is this unique texture, halfway between focaccia and pizza, that locks in the flavours so well and allows a drizzle of olive oil to seep in, releasing all its fruity notes.s.
